Mack Industries of Trenton NJ, I would highly recommend that you never use this firm to do any HVAC installation or service for you. Just four (4) years ago they installed four (4) heat pumps for one of my commercial units, approximately $24,000.00 my cost. Two years after installing one of the AC units had an issue, a tech come out and spend 4 or 5 hours working on the unit and say he thought that is may have a leak but he thinks he fixed it. A week later I had to call them again, it still was not working properly, again after another 4 or 5 hours, we got it this time. Then in another week I had to call them back for it was still not working. This time they sent a different tech, found it was a valve, replaced it and it is still working today. Sounds good, yes? Well not after I received the bills for almost $1800.00 to repair that unit. Man hours, truck charge, Freon, the valve and/or whatever they used, etc. Obviously I called about the charge… rude shop foreman and owner. They only stand behind the manufactures warranty, not their labor or what they could or couldn't do, but why I should be charged anything for a 2½ year old unit, but I paid it anyway like a fool. This year a different AC unit when on the fritz so I called them (Mack Industries) but this time they refused to even come out and work on the unit so I call another company to come repair it ( that cost me $600+ to repair). Now another unit is not working properly I have to call the last company I used to come work on that unit. Early this spring Mack sent me a new yearly contract to sign (which I had signed each year for them to perform yearly maintenance on all my HVAC, both heat & AC. Funny I just received a copy of their insurance coverage paperwork, they are really #%^@$ up. I believe that Mack Industries took advantage of me and probably takes advantage of all their customers. Their techs are pleasant but I don't think they know what they are doing and the shop foreman and others that made decisions became rude and argumentative when I spoke to them about my concerns. I give them a FAILING GRADE on their service and they don't stand behind the products they sell. Therefore I highly recommend that you NEVER USE them for any of your heating or AC needs. They take advantage of people, they over charge, and now that 3 of the 4 unit have needed major work on them since being installed I don't think they know what they are doing.
